Patricia Hamp, 70, of Raytown, Missouri, passed away on April 18, 2026. She was born on September 3, 1955, in Missoula, Montana.
Patricia was a woman whose strength was quiet but unwavering, loving, caring, and giving without ever expecting anything in return. Her door was always open, and no one who came to her in need was ever turned away. When Robert Patterson was brought to her as a baby, she welcomed him with open arms and held a special place for him in her heart throughout her life.
Though kind, her compassion was never to be mistaken for weakness. Patricia was one of the strongest women you could ever meet. She carried herself with grace and determination in every role she held: a devoted mother, an active grandmother, a loving sister and aunt, and a faithful friend.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Hamp Sr.; her siblings Jimmy, Debbie, Michael (Robin), and Mary Mackey; as well as many other beloved family members.
Patricia’s life was a testament to resilience, love, and selflessness. The impact she made on those around her will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her children, Jeremey Hamp, Faustine Celeste Gee, and Lee Mannie Hamp Jr. (Rashelle Hamp); her sister, Barbara, along with many siblings from her Hamp family; her sister and close friend, Essema Reed; and her cherished grandchildren, who lovingly called her “MeMah”: DaShawn Hamp, Rayviann Blankenbaker, Jada Hamp, Celeste Hamp, Marionna Harris, Lee Hamp III, Mario Harris, Damond Manuel, and Heaven Lee Hamp; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd., Raytown, Missouri 64133. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m.
