At the age of 16, and still in high school, she married the love of her life, John Robert Tyner of Kansas City, MO. In 2012 Patricia experienced the anguish no mother should know-the loss of a child. She was preceded in death by her youngest son, Matthew Tyner, who died at 42 years old in a line-of-duty accident while serving in the Colorado Springs, CO Police Department.

Survivors include: two sons, Steve (Wanda) Tyner and Jeff Tyner; sister, Linda “Linny” Irvin; and multiple nieces, nephews, and close friends.

Pat was an amazing wonderful person. I first met her in 1989 while working with Hickman Mills employees and was fortunate to help her with her financial planning. She was so smart, kind, and always had the warmest smile when ever we met. Truly miss her!

I met Pat when I was a teenager and from that first day she made me feel loved and accepted into her family. She was like a second mother. I miss talking about books with her, sharing funny stories, talking about everything! I will always remember the camping trips we took, the recipes she shared, the Sunday dinners we had, the fun we had watching home shows, travel shows, B-Positive… No matter what we were doing, we always enjoyed spending time together. My mom used to say that she was so glad I had Pat- she knew how important Pat was to me, how much I loved her. I miss her so much. She was an extraordinarily kind person.
