Patrick Earl McGrath, of McCredie, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2014 at his home with his family by his side. Patrick was born April 18, 1949 in Columbia, MO and was the oldest son of Robert and Patricia McGrath. In 1968, Patrick was united in marriage Deborah Sue Howell who survives at their home. In addition to his wife, Patrick will be lovingly remembered by three sons: Sean (Martha) of Fulton, MO; Shad (Michelle) of Auxvasse, MO; and Erin (Brandi) of Fulton, and eight grandchildren, Caitlin, Morgan, Hunter (Sean); Mackenzie, Brynn (Shad); Derek, Connor, and Kellan (Erin); one sister Cathy McCray (John), and three brothers, Michael (Barbie), Kelly, Mark (Terri) and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends including two very close, life-long friends, Gayle English and Bruce Shyrock.
Patrick was a third generation Union Pipefitter, working for J.C. Jacobs, Drummond Mechanical and Officer Mechanical, retiring after 44 years. Patrick was an avid outdoorsman and hunter. He took a special interest in introducing children and adults to shooting sports.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 8 at 2:00 p.m. at the Lions Club Hall in Millersburg with a carry-in dinner to follow at 4:00 p.m.

My thoughts, prayers and love remain with everyone in the family as always. May we all find comfort and peace knowing that we shall meet again as God promises. Until then we shall feed off one another’s strengths while the others are weak. My heartfelt condolences.

The McGrath family is in my thoughts and prayers. Patrick was such a sweetheart. I’m so thankful that I got to see him this last deer season. I got a big hug and kiss from him. He will forever be missed and loved.

Debbie we were so sad and sorry to hear of Patrick’s passing. We knew he was fighting the cancer battle and hate to hear he has lost. He is now free of the pain and the struggle. Our best to you and your family.

I am sorry to hear of Patrick’s death our prayers are with each of you Joe really cared a lot about Patrick as well as the boys he had been shooting with them in recent years. We were just with is brother Jim Moore who used to work at Jacab’ s he was asking about him. Will let him know of his passing God Bless all of you.
