Penni Lynn Vaughn went to the arms of Jesus at the age of 52 in her home September 11, 2017 surrounded by the love of her family after her fearless fight for 19 years with Huntington’s Disease.
Penni Lynn Vaughn was born November 16th 1964 in Orange County, California to Chet Mabry and Judi (Jacobi) Ridge. She graduated from El Modena High class of 1982. On July 2nd 1982 she married Timothy Ray Vaughn in Orange County California. She went on to be a paralegal for a short time before becoming a stay at home mom for her children. Tim and Penni rose four children Naomi, Jeremiah, Caleb, and Faith. Penni homeschooled her children for over a decade until her disease caused her to stop. Penni led her family fearlessly with love alongside her life partner Tim. Through all the trials and hard times of life she remained strong in the Lord and she instilled that life style into her children. All who knew her were blessed by her sweet and caring nature. Even in the face of death, she still did her best to smile and enjoy time with those she loved. In her life, she spread love and kindness to those around her, even in her illness her loving, kind, strong spirit showed through.
She is preceded by her father Chet Mabry and her nephew Jared Mabry. She leaves to remember her beautiful smile, her husband Timothy Vaughn, her children; Naomi McBroom, Jeremiah Vaughn, Caleb Vaughn. And Faith Vaughn, her mother Judi Ridge, her brothers Tim Mabry and Mike Mabry along with their wives Nancy and Jackie, her son-in-law Alan McBroom, and her grandchildren Cole Mattox, Cheyenne Mattox, Sabrina McBroom, and Samantha McBroom along with many other loving family and friends.
Dear Vaughn family. I am very sorry to have read of the recent death of your loved one, Penni. Please accept my most sincere condolences. I would like to share something that I personally have found to be very comforting. It is found in the Bible at John 5:28,29 and also at Revelation 21:3-5. These verses tell us that soon God is going to bring about a resurrection of our dear loved ones, as well as do away with all of the many causes we have for suffering, including sickness, pain & death. Knowing this has always co forced me and it is my hope that these thoughts will likewise comfort your family also during this most difficult time in your lives.
