Philip Alan Winters, 60, of Kansas City, Missouri, formerly of Liberty, Missouri, passed away May 9, 2016 at KU Medical Center.
Phil was born January 26, 1956 to Donald and Virginia Winters, Liberty, Missouri. Phil was employed by the Salvation Army in Kansas City for 13 years and devoted much of his life helping others.
Phil was a warm, loving and caring person who had a wonderful sense of humor, great personality and huge heart. He had many friends who admired him and he was always there to lend a helping hand.
He is survived by his son, Jason and Heidi Winters, Independence, Missouri; five grandchildren, Madison, Brandon, Casey, Ben and Brooke; and his sister, Janis Winters, St. Petersburg, Florida.

I miss you every day and so proud of everything you accomplished in your life. You touched so many lives with your kindness, generosity of spirit and caring. You are forever in my heart, dear brother. So glad for the years we had together and I know, that you know, how much you meant to me.
