Phillip D. “Phil” Harris

Phil Harris, 76, Kansas City, Mo passed away Feb. 2, 2020, at John Knox Care Center in Lee’s Summit, Mo. Visitation 10-11 AM, memorial at 11 AM, on Monday, Feb. 10, 2020 at Heartland 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd., Raytown, MO 64133.

Phil was a loving and caring husband and father.  He was born September 9, 1943 to Chester and Mary Harris. In October 1965 he married Billie Adams, and to this union they were blessed with 2 children Delene and Phil, Jr. He was a long time resident of Raytown, Mo. He retired from the main United States Post Office after 38 years of service. He later worked and retired from the ADESA Auto Auction after 18 years.  Phil had a passion for hunting, fishing, travel, golf and motorcycle riding. He looked forward to Sunday so he could attend church, and in the past year he loved his red Rolater, that some dear friends gave him.

Phil was preceded in death by his daughter Delene and his parents. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Billie, son Phillip Jr. (Kathy), granddaughter Amelia, sister Darlene and numerous nieces, nephews and beloved friends.

    Billie & family, so sorry to hear of Phil’s passing. We worked together at Adesa Auto Auction, I think probably the whole 18 years as I started there in 1995. He was always friendly & a real gentleman & a pleasure to be around. We will miss him. Our Prayers to you & the family.

    Billie and family, we are very sorry to hear of Phil’s passing…..My husband, Jerry and I worked for Phil at the USPS back in the day. He was a great supervisor to work for and we have many fond memories of him. R.I.P., our friend.

    Phil was one of Dave’s best friends. I know he met Phil at heaven’s gate with arms wide open.
    He was a great man & will be missed here on earth. I am praying for comfort & strength during this sorrowful time.

    Sorry to hear of Phil’s passing, I worked for Phil on 030 at the main Post Office. He was a good boss who was fair to all. I will forever be thankful for his concern and caring while I was pregnant with my daughter and having serious health issues. Fly high Phil. You will be missed.

    Billy, l know l,m probably the last you want to here from this is Janet, Delene friend from the past, you friend that works at Hyvee,s and l saw him at Wal-Mart, he told me about the loss of your husband Phillip, l,m so sorry about your loss, l still thank of your daughter and her husband Jim, they will always have a special place in my heart, May God be with you at this time, again sorry for the loss, you are in prayer.
