Phillip “Phil” Anthony Cagle

Phillip Anthony Cagle (Phil) tragically passed away on July 17th, 2024. He was born on November 30th, 1964, in Oakland, California.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marv and Tressa Hack and his daughter Kimberly Cagle. Phil is survived by his daughter Sophia Cagle and his two sisters, Laura Vail and Dana Hyman, as well as five nieces and four nephews.

Phil grew up in California, Nevada and Colorado. He served his country in the Army and eventually made his way to Kansas City, calling it home since 2017.

Phill had a diverse background which included nursing, sales, teaching Kindergarten ESL (in China) and then motorcycle service and sales. He loved finding a great deal and didn’t hesitate to travel across the country to get it.

Phil was deeply loved by his community and church. He was affectionately known as “Scooter Man” by his neighbors. He had a kind heart and would help anyone in need.

He put his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ about five years before his death. He will be greatly missed, but we thank God that we’ll see him again one day.

A memorial service is planned for him at 11:00am on Saturday, October 19th, at New Life City Church, 1717 McGee Street, Kansas City, MO.

Phil is undoubtedly leaving behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and warm hospitality. I already miss hearing about his latest discoveries and projects, and I’ll especially miss the joy of hearing stories and seeing pictures of his newest rescue dog—whether at church or over dinner. Phil, you’ve truly inspired us all to love our neighbors as ourselves. See you when we get there!

My deepest condolences to Phil’s Family! I met him in San Francisco California 10 Years ago. I am a Used Car Dealer and I used to help him with bikes, scooter and Comercial trucks … he was very cool and fun person to be around !
I am in a shock to learn about his passing! May the Lord be with him in his Peace.

Your friend Ivan ( The Peruvian Boy)
