Ralph Edward Oliver, Jr.

Ralph Oliver, 70, Independence, Mo., passed away July 30, 2012, at home. Ralph was born Nov. 28, 1941, to Ralph, Sr., and Doris (Johnson) Oliver in Kansas City, Mo. Ralph served his country as a member of the U.S. Army, during the early 60’s, he was a member of Good Shepherd Christian Church in Blue Springs, and enjoyed working with wood, and making things with his scroll saw. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, his two daughters, Elizabeth McCray, and Shawna Oliver, and a grandson, Steven Beyer. He leaves behind his wife, Ginny Oliver, four children, Mark Breeden (Ellen), Cindy Beyer (Kurtis), Jamy Blair (Terry), Tim Mays (Donna), 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, at Good Shepherd Christian Church, 111 SW Woods Chapel Road, Blue Springs, MO 64015. A memorial service will follow the visitation and begin at 11 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to The Good Shepherd Christian Church Garden Fund.
