Ramona Ellen Armato

Ramona Ellen Armato, 64, Kansas City, MO passed from this life to her heavenly home on January 19, 2019. Ramona was born on January 15, 1955 in Marshall, Missouri to Jim and Ellen Duncan. She grew up in the Slater and Glasgow areas. Ramona always loved to write and was a published author. She was a floral designer at one time and worked as a medical transcriptionist. Most recently, she worked as a security guard. She loved keeping her home and when she was able to, tending to her garden. She loved flowers and carnations were her favorites. Her other loves in her life were her husband, her dog and her cats. She referred to her pets as her “babies”.

She was preceded in death by her son Cedric Barnett, younger brother, David Lee Duncan, as well as her beloved grandparents, John and Macey Byers of Sweet Springs, Missouri.

She leaves behind her husband, Frank Armato, of the home, her daughter Leyla Barnett of Iowa, her mother and Stepfather, Bill and Ellen White of Boonville, Missouri, a brother, Jimmie Lee Duncan of Sweet Springs, Missouri, a sister Debra Gay Duncan of Barstow, California, and many other family members and friends.

At her request, in lieu of flowers memorial donations should be made to St. Jude’s Hospital.

A memorial gathering will be held Thursday, January 24, 2019 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM

    Don’t know if you knew I am Leylas daughter.. I was just looking you up and this kinda really sucks… I guess I wanted to come down for some reason and i now i know why.. wish someone would have told me i was for some weird reason remembering you out of no where and had this feeling to get to missouri.. this really sucks… i love you i guess and i hope you passed over in Peace.
