Rana Lee Snider

Rana Lee Snider, 53, of Kansas City entered Heaven on March 29, 2017. She left us much too soon. A visitation for Rana will be held April 6, 2017 at 1:00PM at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd Raytown, Missouri with burial following at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Kansas City.
She was the youngest child born to Eugene and Patricia (Rose) Snider on September 18, 1963. She was a lifelong area resident.  Rana attended Ruskin High School, class of 1981. Her favorite subjects were art and music and these remained a constant passion of hers. She found beauty and goodness in every aspect of her life.
She was fiercely devoted to her family and friends. She was also dedicated to her belief in God and walked in her faith every day. She was adamant in her stand for God, family, and country. She was a survivor who overcame the hardships in her life through faith and hard work. Over the years Rana held many different jobs, sometimes two at a time, in order to provide all that she could for her children.
For the last several years she worked at Dillard’s as a top salesperson in the lingerie department. She loved assisting her customers and helping her coworkers meet and exceed their expectations. Of all her jobs one of her most favorite was as a docent for the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art where she found inspiration every day.
Rana loved her children unconditionally and was proud of their accomplishments. Becoming a grandmother to Kaleb and Noelle brought her even more joy and she was thrilled to have a third grandchild on the way. She will forever watch over them all from above.
Rana was preceded in death by her parents, Gene and Patricia Snider, grandparents Ralph and Theresa Glenn, Ralph and Lillian Snider, William Rose, and her sister Leigh Phillips. She is survived by her daughter, Jessica Pecina, her sons Jacob Pecina and Tynan Pecina, her brother Wayne (Tami) Snider, and her sister Roxanne (Jim) McIlvaine.  Rana also leaves behind her grandchildren Kaleb Crook, Noelle Elmore, baby-to-be Elmore and many nephews, nieces, and cousins. She had a multitude of friends. All were dear to her to the end!
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that, whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.
