Raymond Cosgrove, 90, of Independence, Missouri, passed away on February 25, 2017 at St. Luke’s Hospice House. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2017, from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM at Missouri Funeral Care with the funeral service following at 7:00 PM. Burial will be at 12:00 PM on Thursday, March 2, 2017 in Bethel Campground Cemetery in Edwards, Missouri.
Raymond was born May 11, 1921, in Cross Timbers, Missouri to Herbert and Jewell Cosgrove. He was married to Shirley Cosgrove on January 24, 1959. They were married for 58 years and passed away two days apart from each other.
Raymond grew up in Boonville, Missouri and grew up on a houseboat. He worked as a paper boy, a pin setter at a bowling alley, and a Bellman at the Muelbach Hotel for 60 years.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley; daughter, Laura; brothers, Edsel, Edward and Billy; and sister, Louise. Survivors include a brother, sister, 3 daughters, 3 sons, 19 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren, and 22 great great grandchildren.
