Renee Michelle Stewart, 53, died on September 22, 2021. Renee was born December 10, 1967 in Portsmouth, VA and most recently lived in Lawrence, KS, but Prairie Village, KS was always home. There she raised her children, pursued her artistic interests, and later helped care for her mother. Renee had a passion for all things creative and was a talented artist. Her smile was beautiful and her humor, kind heart, and laugh drew others to her. She had a deep love for her family, friends, and her beloved pets and she will be deeply missed.
Renee is survived by: mother, Nancy Goldhart; father, Carl Goldhart (Jill); son, Hunter Stewart; daughter, Natalie Smith (Jeremy); granddaughter, Charlotte; and extended family. She was preceded in death by her son J.D. Stewart and brother Christopher E. Goldhart.
Family and friends are invited to share their memories and a potluck meal together on Sunday, October 17th from 11:30am-3:00pm at Burcham Park, 2nd and Indiana St. in Lawrence. Private burial will take place in Keytesville, MO. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to the Renee Stewart Memorial fund, c/o First State Bank & Trust, PO Box 232, Tonganoxie KS 66086.

Renee was my neighbor in Country Club at 6th. I will always remember her smiling face whenever I met her. May her soul rest in peace. Condolence to the family for their loss. God bless you all
