Richard E. (Rick) Kinn was born on July 1, 1958 in Hankinson, ND to Elroy and Mercedes Kinn. He passed away June 5, 2011 in the home. He graduated from Morehead State University. Rick was most recently employed at Ameresco. Rick loved his family with all his heart and soul. Rick was predeceased by his father, Elroy Kinn. He is survived by his mother, Mercedes Kinn and wife Alane; children: Eric Kinn, Ryan Day and Jennifer Day; sisters: Nancy Dobrinski, Barbara Kelchner; brothers: Paul Kinn, Tom Kinn; and many nieces and nephews, he loved this wonderful family. A celebration of life will be held at a later time. In lieu of flowers, please consider a monetary donation to http://fightcolorectalcancer.org/donate or the Greater Ozarks Regional Chapter of the American Red Cross and designate Joplin Disaster Relief.

To Rick Kinn’s Family and Friends,
I just learned the sad news about my colleague and friend. I really enjoyed working with Rick at Ameresco and enjoyed him as a person. My fondest memory was how proud he was of his young son when he recited the pledge of allegiance at the Jefferson City LFG project Ground Breaking. The project Rick put together with the State was innovative, environmentally beneficial and saved money. He was a creative thinker. He will be missed by all.
