Richard N. Dore, 90, of Leawood, Kansas passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at Villa St. Francis Catholic Care Center.

Richard (Dick) was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. He was drafted by the Marines and served from 1952 to 1954. Dick married Carolyn (Carol) Bryant on December 4, 1959 in Kansas City, Missouri, and worked as a jeweler before retiring. He enjoyed traveling, reading books about trains or historical events and spending time with his granddaughters and pets.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife Carol, his son Patrick (Christy) Dore, and granddaughters Breanna and Emily Dore.

There will be a visitation and celebration of life at the home of Pat and Christy Dore on Saturday, September 3 from 1 – 4 p.m. The family suggests contributions to Catholic Community Hospice (16201 W. 95th St., Lenexa, KS 66219-1217).
