Ricky Tay, 75, of Kansas City, Mo passed away June 21, 2018. Funeral service will be held at 3:00PM, Monday, June 25, 2018 at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, Raytown, Missouri. A visitation will be held at 2:00PM, June 25, 2018 at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society as well. Mr. Tay was born December 11, 1942.

Ricky Tay was born in Singapore and served in the Infantry there. He worked for several years in the Kansas City are as a security guard for the Isle of Capri Casino as well as for the Royals and Chiefs games. As a very talented musician he plated bass guitar and sang with his wife, Sylvia Tay, on the Missouri River Queen and also played drums and sang with the Singapore Jets. He was an intelligent and kind person and will be very missed.

Preceded in death by his mother Lim Kheng Yong and father Tay Cheng Gan.

Survivors include his wife Sylvia Tay, daughter Michelle (Patrick) Gallardo, grandchildren; Damian Barci, Patrick Gallardo, Jr., Nikko Gallardo in California, step-children; Cheryl Hooper, Phil Hooper, and David Hooper, sisters; Eileen (Richard Tan) Tay, Angeline Tay, and Maureen (Tony Tham) Tay, brother Terrance Tay, and many nieces and nephews in Singapore.
