Pastor Robert C. Davenport passed away on April 15, 2023 at home from a recent illness. He was 75 years old.

Robert was born in Pine Bluff Arkansas and started preaching at the early age of eight. His last preaching event was February 20, 2023 to the Baptist Ministers Union.

He is survived by his wife Anna; daughter Charity Davenport Love; two sons Joseph Ray and Paul Piper; and a host of family and friends.

A Memorial Service will be on April 29, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Greater St Matthews Missionary Baptist Church, 2835 Indiana, Kansas City, Missouri 64127. Any donations to the family can be sent to the church location.

    Anna, you and the family have my deepest condolences. God bless you all and Robert will be missed. I want you to know that my husband, and I have known Robert so long that we remember when he started preaching at eight years old. What a long ministry. I love you and take care of yourself.
