Robert E. Deaver, 79, formerly of Columbus, Indiana, passed away June 30, 2006 at Hickory Point Care Center in Oscaloosa, KS. Mr. Deaver was born in Columbus, Indiana, the son of A. Dale and Nellie J. Audy Deaver. He married the former Ona Mae Robertson in 1949 and she survives of the home. They were also former residents of Indianapolis, Indiana; Overland Park, KS; and Tonganoxie, KS. He is survived by two sons, Rex A. Deaver and daughter in law Lorraine Gehring of Overland Park, KS and Brian K. Deaver and daughter in law Trish of Lee’s Summit, MO. He is also survived by many grandchildren. Mr. Deaver was preceded in death by his mother; Nellie J. Deaver Smart; father, A. Dale Deaver; stepfather, Russell Smart; one brother and sister in law; Donald L. Deaver and Norma L. Deaver. There will be no visitation or services. Following cremation there will be a private memorial service and interment at Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, KS.
