My condolences to the Shearer family on the passing of “Coach”. I spent 5 years teaching and also did some assistant coaching under Bob. I have very fond memories of him and will always remember learning what the single wing offense was from him. He also had a sense of humor like noone elses.

Coach Shear did not pass away. He just took another coaching position at the Elmira Jr. College. I am sure he is up there now smiling at all the tricks he played on “all of us”. He was a great man, educator and a friend. He will be missed by all. God Bless.
