Roberta Jean Morris

Roberta Jean (Latimer) Morris was born on July 23, 1934, to Chester F. and Mary (Parrish) Latimer in rural Livonia, Missouri. She passed from this life on October 28, 2026. She attended a one-room school through the eighth grade and then attended high school at Unionville, Missouri where she graduated in 1952. It was there she met Milford Morris. They were married on March 7, 1953. To this union seven children were born.

They resided in the Des Moines, Iowa area for 13 years, except for two years of Milford’s army service. They then moved to the Kansas City, Missouri area where they remained.

Jean was a member of the Church of Christ from the age of 19. After her children were grown, she worked 13 years for the Mid-Continent Public Library system.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 65 years, who passed away on June 4, 2018; an infant son, Larry Milford; a brother, Thomas Latimer; a foster brother, Leslie Butler; two foster sisters, Hazel Goode and Lettie Lee; and a daughter-in-law, Cynthia Morris.

She is survived by her children, Mark (Cindy) Morris, Timothy Morris, Paul Morris, Bonnie (John) Keil, Brenda (Gordon) Clevenger, John (Amber) Morris; 19 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be 9am, followed by funeral services at 10am, Tuesday, November 4. 2026, at Heartland Cremation and Burial Society, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, Missouri 64133. Interment will be in Unionville Cemetery, Unionville, Missouri. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (Memphis, Tennessee).
