Roberta Lynn Dunham

 

Roberta (Bert) Lynn Dunham, 66, of Kansas City, Missouri, died May 28, 2021.  Roberta was born December 1, 1954 to William and Lois Jean Coin.  She was a 1972 graduate of Pomona High School in Pomona, CA as well as a graduate of Metropolitan Community College where she studied nursing.

Roberta retired after 20+ years at Forrest T. Jones & Co., Inc. where she had supervised 6 departments over the years and at retirement was a Business Analyst & Program Designer.  Roberta’s passion was being home with family.  In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, cooking, restoring old furniture, sewing, crocheting and family genealogy.

Roberta was preceded in death by grandparents, Archie and Ida Thomas, her father, William Coin; stepfather, Martin Mueller; the man she called Dad, Donald Beary; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry & Barbara Coin and brother-in-law, Donald Miller.

Those left to cherish her memory included but are not limited to: her husband, Mark Dunham; Son, Eron Reece, daughter, Leanne Dunham; seven grandchildren – Nola Dunham, Sophia Dunham, Aidan Reece, Liam Reece, Fiona Reece, Danyell Gentry-Alba, Eoin Reece; her brother, Lenny (Cathy) Coin; 3 sisters, Penny (John) Wood, Jean Miller and Marlena Amos; nieces, Sheri Coin-Caraway, Keri (Brian) Wohrle, Samantha (James) Fee and Shanna (Ryan) Barratt-Miller as well as nephews, Steven (Shiona) Coin, Martin Coin, Jon Coin, Eric Anson, Loren Conway, Josh (Anna) Bohrn, Jordan Amos, Kurtis Amos and Adam (Jessica) Amos.  She is also survived by her closest cousin, Jaycene Harris and many other family members and friends too numerous to list.  

A celebration of life will be held in her honor at 10:00am, Saturday, June 19th, at North Cross United Methodist Church, 1321 NE Vivion Rd, Kansas City, MO 64118.  A casual luncheon will be held at 318 E Lowell KCMO following the service.

    Although I haven’t seen you in years, Aunt Roberta…I love you more than you knew! I remember the exact day you left Pomona all those years ago. It was a sad day for me. Rest Easy, and know that where you are now.. There’s no sadness, no judgement, and no pain. You’ll forever live in my heart!!! Fly high!!
