Roberta Ruth (Lupton) Clark

Roberta Ruth Clark passed away November 19, 2016. She was born August 28, 1923 to Elzy
and Ethel Lupton in Kansas City, Missouri. Roberta graduated from Park College and served in the
United States Coast Guard during World War II. Roberta married Thomas A. Clark on August
21, 1947 and were married sixty eight years until her husband’s death in October, 2015. They
enjoyed the traveling they did together, especially after retirement. Roberta was active in her
church and many civic organizations including the Pantry, AARP, and JOY group.

She is survived by; two children, Thomas E. Clark and wife Nancy, Susan Miller and husband
James; four grandchildren, Eric Miller, Rachel Rothbard and husband Mike, John Clark and wife
Kristen, Sharon Johnston and husband Brad; seven great grandchildren, Megan, Ryan, and
Chance Johnston, Aiden Clark, Julia Hansen, and Emily and Jacob Rothbard; step grandson
Chris Thompson and wife Amy; two step great grandchildren, Lander and Graham; and first
cousins Verna Marie Hoel and Howard Lay.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, December 29, 2016, 11:00 AM, at Parkville
Presbyterian Church, 819 Main Street, Parkville, Missouri. The family requests no flowers. Memorial contributions in memory of Roberta Clark may be made to the Parkville Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund at the above address or to:
