Rodney Bailey, 68, of Columbia died at his home Friday, October 30, 2015. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, 616 Jackson St., Columbia, MO 65203. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Survivors include his wife Susan, four children, Doug (Lori) Bailey, Kelly Bailey, Kent (Tara Jean) Bailey and Marty Bailey, three siblings Sharron (Larry) Quisenberry, Carolyn Bailey and Janet Sue (Larry) Louder as well as 6 grandchildren. Rodney is a United States Navy Veteran and was a truck driver for Churchill Truck Lines and Roadway Express. In retirement he was a Courtesy Shuttle Driver for University Subaru.

Rod was a great person who will be missed greatly.We will always remember his cutting sense of humor and beaming smile.
rod bailey was a great volunteer at the va hospital and he was so fun to be around and talk with if you were sad he would make you laugh and he always had a smile on his face everytime I would see him and I am sorry for the loss of a great friend but I will keep the family in my thoughts and prayers
