Ronald D. Miller, 67, of Independence, MO passed away Nov. 5th at the KC V.A. from his long battle with lung cancer. Visitation will be on Fri. Nov. 9th at East Side Baptist Church, Indep. MO at 10 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 11. Mr. Miller was born Aug. 2, 1945 in Sedalia, MO.
Ron attended Smith Cotton H.S. and then went on to CMS college where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Ron was a legal clerk for the Army in Vietnam. His various careers included payroll clerk, account manager, plumber, Master Pipe Fitter for Armco Steel for 22 years, plumbing instructor at Metro Community College, and consultant for Midwest Scrap Management.
He was preceded in death by his mother Bessie Louise Miller and brothers Dale, Carl and Bennie Miller.
Ron was survived by his wife Sandra L. Miller, daughters Kristi Powell and Shelly Miller, and grandchildren Michael and Jeanne Powell.
