Ronald Eugene Terry

Ronald (Ron) Eugene Terry, 60, of Independence, MO passed away peacefully at his home November 6, 2024 after a long battle with cancer. Ron was born July 17, 1964 in Independence, MO. He was a 1982 graduate of Van Horn High School in Independence, MO.

Ron has been a long-time self-employed paint contractor with a stellar work ethic. He had a passion for being outdoors at his personal retreat at Lake Pomme De Terre which he referred to as “Camp Terry”. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and enjoyed competitive dart throwing.

Ron was preceded in death by Glendale Dorsey (mother of his son), and then his first wife, Gale Terry. Survivors include his son, Dillan Dorsey-Terry of Independence, MO, and his fiancé’ Linda Pulley. Other survivors include mother, Sharon Terry of Independence, MO, father, Robert Michael Terry of Camdenton, MO, brother Michael Terry of Independence, MO, brother Robert Terry (wife Dana) of Blue Springs, MO, brother Matt Terry (wife Rebecca) of Overland Park, KS, one niece and one nephew. Ron also leaves behind aunts, uncles, cousins and a many beloved friends.

A celebration of life for Ron will be held at a later date.
