Ronald “Rocky” Munzuris

Ronald “Rocky” Munzuris of Grain Valley, Missouri went to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ, at the age of 65 on June 23, 2020. Cancer was the cause of death, but we all know it was part of God’s plan and Rocky was excited to be with Him. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Friday, June 26, 2020 at Abundant Life Church, Lees Summit, Missouri with a graveside following at Blue Springs Cemetery.  Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the family would like everyone to know that they understand if you can’t attend the funeral at the church, or if you feel more comfortable wearing a mask to the funeral service, we honor your wishes.  To protect the ones we love, the family will not have a visitation prior to the service and are grateful to all who attend the funeral.

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love His appearing. 2 Timothy 4:7-8

The services will be held at Abundant Life in Lee’s Summit, Missouri followed by the Graveside service at Blue Springs Cemetery.

Rocky was born on September 5, 1954 in Kansas City, Missouri.

Rocky’s primary mission in this life was to make Christ’s love known to everyone he came in contact with and ensure they knew that Jesus died on the cross for their sins so they may have a relationship with Christ themselves. Rocky truly loved his wife, kids, grandkids, and entire family dearly. Some of his favorite times were the sleepovers and weekend excursions he and Rose had with their grandchildren. Rocky was a member of the Plumbers Local 8 Union; he had a special place in his heart for his employer, the Rodriguez family, and the guys he worked with.

Rocky was preceded in death by his sister Becky, his father Ronnie Munzuris, and his mother Theresa Munzuris.

Rocky is survived by his wife of 48 years, Rose, his two children Kim (Jeremy) Weiduwilt and Rocky (Laurie) Munzuris, his grandchildren Alexis, Isabella, Jason, and Giada. His two sisters Brenda (Pete) Holler, and Angie (Brian) Hodges. His uncle Tom (Dorothy) Bischof, uncle Mike (Denise) Munzuris, and aunt Bonnie Bischof.

In lieu of flowers please send donations to: Samaritan’s Purse or Calvary Baptist Church Blue Springs Missouri.
