Let the family know you care by sharing this tribute
Ronald (Ron) Rodney Hashagen, 77, of Westmoreland, Kansas went to be with our Father in Heaven October 3, 2020 after a battle with cancer.
Ron was born in Bloomsbury, Pennsylvania on April 16, 1943. His aunts and uncles lovingly raised him and he was beloved by his cousins and siblings, with whom we credit his gentle spirit.
He served in the Army as a mechanic in Vietnam from 1964-1967 and returned to the States with an Honorable Discharge for serving his country.
Ron dedicated his life to the service of others through his work with the Manhattan School District and through his lawn care business as well as other entrepreneurial endeavors. His love of family and his loyalty to friends is a hallmark of his character.
His parents, George Hashagen and his mother, Alma Pauline Breisch, and his first wife, Beverly S. Hashagen, preceded Ron in death.
Ron is survived by his wife Deborah Hashagen, Kansas City, MO; Sister in Law Diane Reinkemeyer and family, Spring, TX: Brother and Sister in Law David and Lori Baerg and family of Lee’s Summit, MO; his brother Steve Hashagen, Manchester, Connecticut and several cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 am on October 16, 2020 at the Cowboy Country Church, 19880 Line Road (Rural), Wamego, KS. Officiating the services are Pastors Don Blanka and Curtis Roudybush. The service will be streamed at Facebook@CowboyCountryChurch.
A meal for family and friends will follow the service at the church.
Ron will be interred at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery at 2 pm Friday afternoon, Manhattan, Kansas. He will receive military honors upon his place of rest.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Cowboy Country Church in Ron’s honor.
