Ronald “Ronnie” Dale Dinwiddie, age 74, of Independence, passed away Friday, August 28th, 2026. He was born July 6th, 1952, in Independence, MO, one of nine children born to Anderson & Georgia Reba (Terry) Dinwiddie. He served his country proudly in the United States Navy.
Ronnie was a skilled worker of all things automotive for most of his career. From bodywork and framework to painting, every project was a showcase of his skill. While not at work and after retirement his passions and hobbies included: fishing, air brushing, sketching, pen and ink drawings, woodworking, photography and basically any type of craft you can think of. Literally. The things that will be missed the most though would be his cooking, and ability to construct the most delicious recipes at will. Unique in his passions and abilities, when you were his center of attention, his love was unmistakable.
Survivors include: his three children, Tamera Dinwiddie of Independence, Amber Dinwiddie of Independence, and Derrick Dinwiddie and Amanda Oppel of Lee’s Summit; three grandchildren, Demetric, Devante, and Kira; brothers Jerry, and Mike.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Connie, Donna and Rebecca, and brothers Donald, Jim, and Fred.
Services will be held at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, Mo , October 16th,2026 at 2pm.
