Ruth Ann Meyers

Ruth Ann Meyers, nee Rauls, 71, passed away on June 24, 2004, after a long battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband, Robert (Bob) of the home; two sisters, Mary Jane Lochner (Kenneth) of Roxbury, WI, and Alice Ballweg (Melvin) of rural Dane, WI; also two brothers, Philip (Virginia) of rural Dane, WI, and James (Eileen) of Waunakee, WI. She was preceded in death by her sister, Catherine Pings, and a nephew, Mitch Pings. There are many other nieces and nephews that have always been a source of great pride and joy to her. Ruth and Bob lived in Wisconsin, Phoenix, Colorado Springs and Las Vegas before moving to Kansas City in late 1965. Before Kansas City Ruth worked with IBM machines and did accounting for CPA firms. Here she was an accountant for several years for Scott’s Interiors in Overland Park and finished the last 14 years of her career with the Barkley and Evergreen Advertising Agency, where she ended as head accountant and controller in late 1994. There will be no services in Kansas City. To any friends wanting to make memorial donations, her wishes were the Cancer Research Foundation or Children’s Mercy Hospital. Ruth will be interred at the Catholic Parish of her childhood, St. Martin’s Church in the rural hamlet of Martinsville, WI, northwest of Madison.
