Ruth Evelyn Butterbaugh, 82, passed away Aug 26, 2005 at John Knox Village Care Center. Memorial services are Saturday, Sept 3, 1:30 p.m., Calvin Community West, 2020 NW O?Brien, Lee?s Summit MO. Ruth was born September 30, 1922 in Union Mills IN, to Violet and Leo Stephani. She graduated from Union Township High School and the South Bend School of Business. She lived in South Bend and Elkhart IN before retiring to Lake Placid FL. She moved to John Knox Village in 1998. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lee?s Summit. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Wesley Butterbaugh and a brother, Richard Stephani. Survivors include two daughters and a son and their families: Marcia Butterbaugh of Kearney MO, Diane Ruby of Phoenix, AZ, and Scott Butterbaugh of Cowpens, SC. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Village Hospice, 400 NW Murray Rd, Lee?s Summit MO 64081.
