Samual “Randy” Polk

Samuel Randolph "Randy" Polk, 51, formerly of Matthews, Mo. died March 22, 2010 at St. Lukes Northland Hospital in Kansas City.
Born March 14, 1959 in Sikeston, Mo. to Evelyn Polk and the late Alvin A. Polk, he was a 1977 graduate of Matthews High School. A former chef, painter and electronics student, he loved sitting on the side of a pond or ditch, waiting to catch a fish.
In addition to his mother, survivors include one son: Jacob Polk (Angie) of Hardin, Mo.; one daughter, Tiffany Polk of Excelsior Springs, Mo.; five brothers, Larry Polk, Eddie Polk, Lonnie Polk, Andrew Polk and Joseph Polk, all of Matthews, Mo.; three sisters, Mable Walker and Lydia Howard of New Madrid, Mo., and Gail Polk of Millington, Tn.; and three grandchildren, Ethan, Zoey and Julie Ann Polk.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Polk.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm March 27 at the First Missionary Baptist Church in Matthews, Mo. with the Revs. Chris and Jeff Polk officiating.
