Sandra Lee Murphy

Sandra Lee Murphy, also known as Sandy, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2023, at the age of 64 in Lees Summit, Missouri. She was born on September 6, 1959, in Knoxville, Tennessee, to Charles and Mary Ann Kreimendahl.

Sandy was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and partner. She cherished her family above all else and took great pride in being a grandma to her three amazing grandchildren. Sandy’s warm and caring nature extended to her significant other, Myron Tackett, and her children, Amber Murphy (Darci) and Brandon Murphy (Mackenzie). She was also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Cadyn, Jacksyn and Jamey.

Sandy had a passion for watching the Kansas City Chiefs and would often gather with her loved ones to cheer on her favorite team. She enjoyed spending quality time with her family, creating cherished memories that will be forever treasured.

In addition to her immediate family, Sandy leaves behind her siblings, Bob Kreimendahl (Joyce), Chuck Kreimendahl (Ellen), Jeff Kreimendahl (Marcia), and Patti Hutton (Jim), as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Sandy was preceded in death by her loving husband of nearly 40 years, Darrell Murphy, and her parents, Charles and Mary Ann Kreimendahl. Their memories will always hold a special place in the hearts of those who loved Sandy.

A visitation to celebrate Sandy’s life will be held on November 15, 2023 from 5:00-7:00pm at Heartland Cremation and Burial Society, 61113 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, Missouri 64133. It will be an opportunity for family and friends to come together, share stories, and support one another during this difficult time.

Sandy’s kindness, love, and joyful spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy lives on through the memories she created and the love she shared. May she rest in eternal peace.

    We are so deeply saddened by the loss of your Mom. She was such a great friend. She always lived life to its fullest and was so proud of her kids and grandkids. Prayers and hugs as you get through thus difficult time.
