Scott Allen Johnson

Scott Allen Johnson, 54, passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at home, surrounded by his loving family after battling brain cancer. Scott was born June 17, 1964 at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa.

He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1982. He married his wife Janie on April 21, 1995. He spent 38 years of his life as a dedicated and hard-working Hy-Vee employee. Scott was an avid sports lover and outdoorsman—and he was especially proud of his zero-turn lawnmower.

Scott will be forever loved and remembered by his wife and best friend Janie, and their children Brittni Ferguson (along with husband Andrew and son Fredrick), Meagan Kay (along with husband Miles and sons Gavin, Aidyn, and Jack), Kara Connor (and husband Joe) and Krista Johnson; as well as parents Robert and Lois Johnson, siblings Mike Johnson (and wife Martha), Pam Larsen (and husband Ed), and Lorrie Stout (and husband Greg); and many other loving family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family is taking up a collection for Serenity Care Hospice in order to thank them for the kindness and compassion they showed Scott during his last few months. There will be a rosary prayer session in Scott’s honor at 7:00pm on Friday, November 16th, and a memorial service at 11:00am on Saturday, November 17th at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Harrisonville, Missouri (2700 E. Mechanic St. Harrisonville, MO 64701).
