Let the family know you care by sharing this tribute
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Shana Mackenzie Beach, who was born on November 10, 1976, in Independence, Missouri. Kenzie spent most of her life in Grain Valley, a community she proudly called home, where she built lasting friendships and cherished memories.
Kenzie lived a life filled with creativity, compassion, and an unwavering love for those closest to her. She was known for her spunky spirit, quick wit, and sense of humor that could brighten any room. She found joy in painting and coloring, could happily lose herself in a great BRAVO television series, and had a special love for caring for her dogs, cats, and ever-growing collection of plants. Whether creating something beautiful with her hands or nurturing the things she loved, Kenzie had a gift for bringing warmth and life to everything around her.
Throughout her life, Kenzie embraced many different career paths, reflecting her hardworking spirit and ability to connect with others. Most recently, she worked in real estate before illness changed the course of her life. She courageously fought breast cancer for seven years with strength, resilience, and unwavering determination.
Above all else, Kenzie’s greatest pride and greatest joy were her family and friends. She loved fiercely and wholeheartedly and nothing brought her more happiness than spending time with her children and grandchildren. The love she shared and the memories she created will forever remain in their hearts.
Kenzie will be remembered for her artistic spirit, her spunky personality, her quick wit, her love of animals and nature, her resilience, and the kindness she shared with everyone she met. While her passing leaves a void, her love and the countless memories she created will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Kenzie was preceded in death by her parents, Cheryl Bridgewater and David Doughty, and her beloved aunt, Mary Zaragoza.
She is survived by her children, Mackaylee Tarpenning, Hunter Beach, and Lexie Schrock; her sister, Amy Etzenhouser; her five cherished grandchildren; her beloved dog, Cooper; and many extended family members and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
A celebration of Kenzie’s life will be held at a later date. The family invites all who knew and loved her to gather in remembrance, share stories, and honor the beautiful life she lived.
Forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
Rest easy kenz. I’m so sorry you had to go this way, you def didn’t deserve it.
