Shannon Danette Lee

Shannon Danette Lee of Kansas City passed away on April 22, 2024. A celebration of life will be held at Blue Springs Lake, Shelter C, Saturday May 18th 2024, from 1pm-4pm.

Shannon worked in sales for the majority of her life, which we all know suited her out going personality so well. She prided her self in being an amazing mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and the best aunt that she could be! She was always the life of the party and the loudest presence in the room. She enjoyed spending as much time as she could with family! She absolutely loved family dinners and scary Halloween parties! Celebrating her favorite team the Chiefs every chance she could was huge as she was the biggest fan! GO CHIEFS! If she wasn’t spending her time with family or watching the Chiefs she was outside rompin’ and stompin’ in her front yard playing in the mud or picking up sticks to make the ultimate fire!

She was proceeded in death by her father Carl Timothy Lee and her grandmother Helen Lee.

Survivors include her only daughter Miranda Miller, her granddaughter Calyssa McClain, Mother Shirley Steele, Sister Jenae Williams(Courtney Williams), Niece Alyssa Williams, Brothers Scott Lee (Trudy Lee ,and Donnie Mcginley (Kielly Mcginley).

Shannon certainly was a force to be reckoned with. She made sure everyone knew how much she loved her daughter, her family and the Chiefs! Shannon had a smile and energy that went on for days. She was always full of news to share and had outstretched arms always ready for a hug. She will absolutely be missed.

Shannon was the original Warrior Woman. There wasn’t a pretentious bone in her body. What you saw was what you got. If she was your friend she stood tall for you. She helped my daughter through some rough times in her life. She would give you a shoulder to cry on or a kick in your backside if needed. She was one of a kind and I always appreciated her unflinching individuality. She graced our lives with laughter and love. She will be missed.

You spoke your mind and I loved that a out you. It’s sad how things went right after your death. I would of thought it’d been handle more gracefully. I’ll always remember you.
