Sharon Kay Sheridan, 61, passed peacefully at her home in Boonville on Nov 21 after a four year fight with breast cancer. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 28 at Center Point Church in Columbia. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Sharon was born February 7, 1948 in Moberly, MO to Joseph & Kathryn Carson. She married Jim Sheridan on Nov 28, 1966; he preceded her in death on Dec 31, 1996. She has spent the last 10 years with her life partner Richard Sheridan, who survives her. Sharon cherished her family and loved spending any free time with her grandchildren and working in her yard. She enjoyed working in Cracker Barrel’s gift shop for the last 15 years. Survivors include her mother Kathryn Medved and husband Joe of Sunrise Beach, MO; daughter Marty Heath and husband Terry of Columbia, MO; son Andrew Sheridan and wife Carrie of Chesterfield, MO; daughter Cindy Sheridan of Columbia, MO; Seven grandchildren: Jeffery & Heather Heath; Samantha & Andrew Richardson; Cathryne, Corbin & Grace Sheridan as well as her four sisters, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins & friends. Her father Joseph Carson and daughter Jody Lynn precede her in death. Memorial contributions are suggested to The Gurucharri Foundation c/o 1605 E Broadway, Columbia, MO 65201.

    I worked with Sharon at Cracker Barrel for a couple of years. What a great lady! She will be missed. She always bragged about her grandchildren and never had a bad word to say about anyone. She fought long and hard and swore it wasn’t going to beat her. Rest in peace Sharon, your fight is over.

    For the past 15 years Sharon was not only a co-worker of mine but my very best friend. She was the bravest and strongest woman I’ve ever known and I will miss her dearly

    Sharon was the strongest lady I’ve ever known. she would always say (I’llbe OK) I learned to loveher and get strengh fromher. I will certainly missher. She had a wonderful family also.

    Dear Marty, Andy & Cindy and family,

    I’m so sorry to hear about Sharon. I’m glad you put a picture on here since I haven’t seen her in so long. Still the same, sweet smile.

    I’ll remember her for the hospitality she showed us whenever we stayed at your home in Columbia. We went into the fancy new (& huge) Schnuck’s store to get long johns (yum!) & milk. She didn’t complain about Jena crying half the night & keeping everyone up.

    I also remember the ceramic dolls she so lovingly made. I always wondered if she ever used the foot of hair I cut off & gave her for the dolls.

    We had great fun staying up late & playing pinochle with her & your Dad, Don, & Nadine out at the farm. Jim & Don were both so sharp in cards and many other things.

    Take comfort in your good memories, especially as her birthday approaches, and know that she loved you all very much.
