Sheila D. Thompson, 64, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away peacefully at home on April 11, 2016.
Born on October 26, 1962, in Kansas City, Missouri, Sheila lived a life defined by compassion, resilience, and deep devotion to her family. She dedicated over 30 years of her life to nursing, where she touched countless lives with her care, kindness, and unwavering commitment to others.
Above all, Sheila was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her strength, warmth, and enduring love will be cherished and remembered by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her father, Andrel Stevenson, and her mother, Jeanette Riffe.
She is survived by her children: Jason Thompson (Rahshaan Pierson), Lasheia Williams, Eric Stevenson, and Garvin Thompson, Jr.; eleven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, April 24, 2026, at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd., Raytown, Missouri 64133.
