SHIRLEY ANN  HEFFNER

Shirley Heffner, 69, of Independence, MO, passed away May 22, 2012. A memorial gathering will be held 2-4 PM Saturday May 26th at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Patricia and brother Gary. Shirley is survived by her husband of 46 years, Vernon; daughter Carolyn Heffner of Independence, MO; sons, Jeffrey of Wake Forest, NC; Michael of Wentzville, MO; grandsons, Josh, Jake and Evan. She worked 20 years as a Tax Preparer the last 17 years at H&R Block. Memorial contributions can be made to S E Enterprises (Sheltered Workshop) 6701 Booth, Kansas City, MO 64133. Cremation with interment at a later date.

    We miss you dad I think of you often and hate that I can’t call you to chat. It’s little thngis that make me laugh or feel sad. The reality of you being gone makes me feel empty, it’s so hard to take in. The last three weeks with you in hospital nearly broke me but I would not have been anywhere else. My heart broke to see you in so much pain and I hope we did all we could to help you through. You were one tough fighter I imagine you up there with Nana, uncle Jim and uncle Robin No doubt stirring everyone up! Love you Dad, your not forgotten. Xoxo
