Shirley Myers

Shirley June Myers, age 84, of John Knox Village, Lee’s Summit, MO passed away peacefully at home with her family at her side on April 15, 2008. Shirley was an only child, born June 19, 1923 to John and Geraldine Binford in Olathe, KS. Shirley attended The University of Kansas and was a successful interior designer for many years. Ganny enjoyed life to its fullest. Her family and friends were everything to her. Shirley never met a stranger. She understood that to have a friend you had to be a friend. Ganny was always up for an adventure! She enjoyed her piano, decorating, painting, crafts and volunteer work at hospitals and nursing homes. She was a member of the Rock House Church at the Lake of The Ozarks and Unity Village Church of Lee’s Summit.  Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Bill in 2004. She is survived by her children Rick Myers, Jeri & Frank Migliazzo, Dan & Sarah Myers and Julie Myers. Beloved grandchildren: Kim Fowler, Tony & Pam Moulton, Jenny & Steve Lynch, Bill Myers, Tony & Sarah Migliazzo and Carla & Kimo Hasewaga. Cherished great-grandchildren; Ramsey & Justin Fowler, Jake & Samantha Moulton, Lauren & Kelly Lynch, Luke, Mark & Ava Migliazzo and Chase Hasewaga. Visitation will be 1:30 PM Saturday April 19, 2008 with funeral services to be held at 2:00 PM at 400 NW Murray Road at John Knox Village.
