Sidney L. Miller

Sidney L. Miller, 81, of Jefferson City, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2014, at J.C. Manor, surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 9, 1933, the oldest son of Pauline Fisher Bullock and stepfather Luther Bullock (deceased). On June 7, 1958, he was united in marriage to Lawanna D. Pratte of Bonne Terre, Mo. who survives in Jefferson City. Sidney enjoyed working in his yard, traveling, and family barbecues along with playing with his grandchildren. Sidney was previously employed in the insurance industry and was the food service director of East Central College in Union, Mo. and the Harry S. Truman Building in Jefferson City. He was the loving father of Brian K. Miller and wife Kimberly of New Bloomfield and grandfather of Brian Jr. Jeremy, Sasha, and Christopher Miller. Great-grandfather of Sydney Miller, Skylar Hile, Brooklyn Barbie, Christopher Miller Jr., Ces-Rik Ramos and Kaisley N. Miller. Sidney was the oldest of nine children: Jack, Ronnie, Donald, Rick, Sharon, Vickie, and also Larry, Gary, and Linda who preceded him in death. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
