Stephen Joseph Jahn

Stephen Joseph Jahn passed in his home on April 10, 2017 in Independence, MO. He was 71 years old.
Mr. Jahn was born on May 5, 1945 in Washington, IN to his parents, Wilfred “Hank” & Eleanor “Jeanne” Jahn. He moved to the Kansas City Metro area in 1995, and married his wife, Barbara, May 23, 1997 in Independence, MO.
Mr. Jahn was an avid bird watcher with a love of Pintail Ducks. He and his wife enjoyed spending time watching birds while he was still able to be out and active. He also enjoyed a variety of music, including Jazz and Classical music.
Mr. Jahn is survived by his wife, Barbara; step-son Brian Clark and his fiancé, Denetra, and their children, Damon, Kylan, and Amaris; step-daughter Carrie Clark Brogdon and her partner Craig, and their children, Elizabeth, Kyra, Jessica, and Alexandria. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Phillip.
Mr. Jahn will be cremated in a private ceremony. A celebration of life will take place on April 13, 2017 at 4:30 pm at Regency Manor Community Room. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Stephen’s life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to The Nature Conservancy (www.nature.org) in remembrance of Mr. Jahn.
