Steve Beadles

Steve Beadles of Kansas City Missouri passed away on December 7, 2018. He was born on May 15, 1951, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Delmar and Lola Beadles (Scrutchfield). He graduated from Blue Springs High School in 1969. A voracious reader, lover of airplanes, golf and tennis, Steve was diagnosed in his infancy with neurofibromatosis, a disease that caused numerous tumors on his body, a significant learning disability, and a speech impediment due to a partially paralyzed tongue. Despite all these obstacles, and thanks to the Americans with Disabilities Act, though, he was trained in 1969 on computers and was hired by the Bendix Corporation (now Honeywell) as a “tab operator.” He retired after a successful 30 year career in 2001. He was a beloved brother, uncle and fur baby dad. He is survived by fur baby Calvin and “cat,” a stray that he recently adopted. He is also survived by sisters Nancy Lovegreen-Caton (husband Paul Caton) and Cindy Berryman (husband Steve Berrryman), niece Kimberly Johnson (husband Jarrod); nephews Steven Berryman (wife Kate) and Bret Berryman; great nephew Logan and great niece Nichole and his newest great nephew Atlas. One of the gentlest, kindest souls ever born, Steve will be deeply missed! Cremation. Graveside service in the spring and interment in the Garden City Cemetery, next to his beloved mother!
