Steve Gallo

Steve Gallo, 89, died peacefully in his home, Friday June 28, 2013.  Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm followed by a funeral mass at 2:00 pm on Tuesday July 2, 2013 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Fr. Joby officiating.  Cremation will follow the service.  Steve was born and raised in St. Louis, survived the Battle of the Bulge in WWII, graduated with honors from the University of Missouri School of Engineering, and worked for Alvey Mfg. in St. Louis for 36 years.  He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Dorothy Jo (Kinnaird) Gallo, a sister, three sons, two daughters, eight loving grandchildren as well as nieces and other family.  Memorials are suggested to the American Lung Association.

    So Sorry for your loss to all my cousins. Robert, Vince, Jim, Teresa and Mary. I remember when we were little. I loved coming over to your house in Creve Coeur. Uncle Ned was so nice. I remember playing on the player piano and I remember one time sled riding down the yard all the way from the street. Swinging on the tire swing that he put up in a tree. What a great Dad and Uncle.
    Hope to make it to the farm this year for the memorial. Linda
