Steve Lenhart Thompson, 69, of Independence, Missouri passed away March 22, 2018 at 5:20pm at the Kansas City Veterans Administration Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. Service information will be available at a later date. Mr. Thompson was born June 23, 1948 in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.

Steve served two tours in the Army and eventually retired from the Meat Cutters Union Local 576.

He was preceded in death by father Kenneth Virgil Thompson and mother Marie Bell Tipton Thompson.

Survivors include wife Gail Thompson, step-son Michael (Tina) Myers, brothers Kenneth Thompson and Mike Thompson, sister Gloria Hudson, 4 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
