Steven Craig Callahan, 58, of Springfield, Mo., passed away December 12, 2008, at Indian Meadows Nursing Home in Overland Park, Kan. He was born July 12, 1950, in Kansas City, Mo. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter E. Callahan, and his mother, Norma Jeanne Callahan. Steve is survived by his son Steven Patrick Callahan and wife Alina; three grandchildren; five sisters, Debbie Fuller of Raymore, Mo., Peggy Hellings of Overland Park, Kan., Mickie Miller of Kansas City, Mo., Sherry Chiddister of Springdale, Ark., and Denise Yoshihara of San Jose, Calif.; 11 nephews and seven nieces, and a wealth of extraordinary family of friends. Memorial services will be held on Monday, December 15, 2008, at 4 p.m., at St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church, 11822 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO 64131. Family will greet friends at 3:30 p.m. at the church.
