Steven Wayne Norris

Steven Wayne Norris, 48, of Grandview, Missouri passed away November 13, 2019 as the victim of a senseless and tragic crime. A visitation will be held from 10:00AM – 11:30AM on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd. Raytown, Missouri with a memorial service to follow beginning at 11:30AM. Mr. Norris was born on January 18, 1971 in Smithville, Missouri.

Steve was a hardworking, free spirit that loved living life. He had a passion for music and guitars, but his family was always his priority. He had a smile and a laugh that would light the room around him. There was nothing Steve set out to accomplish that he could not do. He was either 100% in or 100% out. Live free, ride fast, and love hard.

He was preceded in death by his parents J.C. and Margaret Norris, brothers Jim and Rick Norris, sister-in-law Birtie Norris, and Owen Lee Carter, nephew of the Greatest Great Uncle Steve.

Survivors include his loving wife Rebecca Wall-Norris who misses him so deeply, his 4 bullie children, brother Ronnie (Kat) Norris, brother Jackie Norris, sister Jeanie (Mike) Winders, sister Susie (Garrett) Barron, sister-in-law Cheryl Norris, brother from another mother Joe (Mary) Searcy, and brothers from the heart Chris and Bear Winders.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Veterans Community Project.

I can’t imagine your pain today and in the days to come, I can only pray for you to be comforted as you work through all of this. I know we’ve not yet met, and I didn’t know Steve but i know the pain of loving someone so dear and losing them. Barbara January is my cousin in marriage and therefore we too are family. I’m so very sorry for your loss and will continue to lift up your heart and ask the Lord to carry you and your family while you heal. Kim
