Susan Alice McComas

Susan Alice McComas, 83, passed away peacefully at home of natural causes on May 7,
2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on January 29, 1943, in Olympia, Washington Susan spent her early years in
California before raising her children in San Diego County. Throughout her life, she was
known for her independence, determination, creativity, and deep love for her family.
Susan was the devoted mother of Trina, Crystal and husband Jason, Sherii, Darius, and
Kiska and husband Brent. She was also a proud grandmother to Leeta, Kenzee, Nichole,
Hans, Blake, Spencer, Troy, Jesse Bay, and Malikai; as well as a great grandmother to
Rayanna, Laynee, Kamry, Heather, Lily, Ellie, Harlynn and Skylynn, She carried with
her the cherished memory of her grandson Christian, who preceded her in death.

From 1968 to 1978, Susan worked as an occupational therapist at a psychiatric hospital,
dedicating herself to helping others with patience and compassion. She later transitioned
into automobile sales, where her strong personality and work ethic served her well
throughout the remainder of her career.

In 1998, Susan moved to Moberly, where she became a familiar and appreciated
member of the community through her resale shops, The Loft, Memories N’ Motion,
and later Hoot n’ Nannies. She truly enjoyed her customers and the relationships she
built over the years through her stores.

Above all, Susan loved being involved in the lives of her children and grandchildren.
Some of her greatest joys were found in art and crafts, searching garage sales for hidden
treasures, and spending time with family. Though she was a very private person, those
who knew her best understood the depth of her love, generosity, and strength.

Susan leaves behind a family who will forever cherish her memory, her guidance, and
the many moments of love and laughter she brought into their lives.
Private burial service to be held at a later date.
