Susan Higley

Susan Coleman-Higley, 59, Raymore, MO went to be with our Lord April 9, 2009 at Kansas City Hospice
House.  Visitation will be held from 10:30 AM-11:30 AM, Saturday, May 2, 2009 at First Baptist Church of Belton.  Memorial services will follow at 11:30AM at the church.  She leaves behind; daughter, Jennifer; her daughter’s boyfriend Carlos Flores and his son Anthony and their family, Antonio, Sandra, Yasmin, Fatima, and Jose Flores.  She also leaves behind; family friends, Fernando and family; four sisters; Janet, Linda, Coleen, Roxane; father, Ben Blair; and step-father Paul Lofferado and many more family and friends.  She served in the Women’s Army corps for 10 years, where she was a specialist fourth class, receiving a cerificate of achievement for completing two years service with combat developments.  She served under the command at Ft. McClellan, AL.  Then she re-enlisted and went to Germany.  After the Army she was married in 1980 and divorced in 1986.  She was a good mother and loved her daughter right to the end.  She was always loved by her daughter very much and by her friends and family.  I know that she will always be missed.  Her life was short lived, and the people she left behind will always cherish the time they had with her.
