Susan L. Dolan

Susan L. Dolan, 64, of Raytown, Missouri, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2015 at her home.

Susan was born in Lincoln, Nebraska to Harold A. and Mavis E. Wulf on November 6, 1950. She graduated from high school at Lincoln Northeast High School where she was a baton twirler in the High School marching band.  She went on to graduate with honors from Metropolitan Community College in Omaha, NE with a degree in Network Administration.  As a young girl, she was a girl scout, played the piano and clarinet and enjoyed swimming, fishing, sailing and was very artistically inclined. She went on to become an avid gardner and enjoyed baking, canning and shopping.  She served on the Raytown Charter Commission in 2014.

Susan is preceded in death by her parents, Harold A. and Mavis E Wulf.

Susan is survived by her husband Donald L. Dolan, her son, Justin R. Hastings (Rhonda) of Overland Park, Kansas, her sisters Nancy J. Thege of Grand Rapids, MI and Joyce A. Steele of Elmira, NY, her brother, Mark S. Wulf of Lincoln, NE, her father-in-law Robert Dolan, and step-mother-in-law, Gail, of Omaha, NE, mother-in-law, Yvonne Fuller of Omaha, NE, her sisters-in-law, Susan L. Tisthammer and Debbie Bratton of Omaha, NE, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at a latter date.

    I’m so sorry Donald. I remember her dearly. She was always so good to me when I saw her in the Ozarks. I saw you guys last when my daughter was born and Susan gave me a photo album. I will miss her and you are definitely in my thoughts.

    I lived near Susan, Joyce and Mark in the 1960’s. They were good friends. We had such fun times.
    Susan is now a shining angel, the bright star in the sky.

    Susan Happy Mothers Day My Friend! I know all your pain and suffering is over & for that I am happy for you. I so loved your family & Don’s. They made your celebration of life one I will always remember. Just as I will always remember you. You touched my heart in many ways & I will so miss that mischievous little smile you always flashed. My heart is so happy for you yet so very heavy for Don. What a Great Husband, Love & Dearest of Dear Friends he was with your sister, brother & brother-in-law at his side, wow what a team they made for you.
