Sylvia Caroline Schafer, age 88, of Independence, Missouri, passed away May 14, 2024.
Sylvia was born March 31, 1936 in Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada.
Sylvia grew up in a quite little town called Bible Hill, NS. She was the second oldest of six children. Sylvia had an insatiable zest for life. She was strong minded, ambitious, lovable, kind and a tad stubborn, never scared of the world!
She was preceded in death by: husband, Donald Cowels; brother, Frank Bartlett; parents, Frank and Lucille Bartlett; and daughter-in-law, Teresa.
Survivors include: son, Greg Cowels; brothers, Donald and Robert Bartlett; sisters, Sandra Thompson and Paulette Scott; and many nieces and nephews.
