Ted Wilt, 83, formerly of Shelbina, MO, passed away on January 5, 2025, at the University of Missouri hospital in Columbia, MO.
Theodore Gregory was born on September 12, 1941, to William Gregory and Ruby Lillie (Brown) Wilt of Shelbina, Missouri.
Ted graduated from Shelbina High School in 1959 and attended the University of Missouri where he sang in several operas and stage productions at the University and Stephens College. He was self-employed and later in life received a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Missouri. His hobbies were working on his computer and listening to classical music, especially Wagner.
Both parents preceded him in death as well as daughter-in-law, Jennifer (McDaniel) Wilt.
He is survived by the mother of his children, Juna (Meadows) Wilt of Hallsville, MO, his two children, Edward Wilt of Hallsville, MO and Angela Freemyer and her husband Jaren of Columbia, MO and two grandsons, Julian and Jason Wilt.
A private family service will be held.
